Hillary 2008

March 4, 2007 / by therightpolitics

Don't get mad, but my curiosity led me to hillaryclinton.com this past weekend.  Angry and I had a discussion about the town hall style "chats" that Mrs. Clinton has been having lately and we wondered if they just open the doors to anyone or if they pre-screen the individuals beforehand.

So, I emailed her site and asked when the next "dialog" would be in my area and what I would need to, if anything, to attend.

This morning, I got the usual, "Your comments are important to us. Due to the high volume of questions we receive, it may take us time to answer you directly."  I figured as much and I will be patiently waiting for an official response.  In the meantime, I wanted to see what was on her blog and if there are any comments that don't lean in her favor.  I went to the first blog entry that I saw, and started from there.  It was a "Thank You" from Hillary to the people that have participated in the "HillCasts."  I read the first few paragraphs and had to laugh.  Here's why:

"I believe that the web is not only creating new forms of political dialog but offering a new wave of opportunity for all Americans - and one of my highest priorities will be to make us number one again in the world in broadband. If we are not at the forefront of the web as a nation, we simply will not be able to keep up our role as the world's leading innovator. Net Neutrality is something that I am also fighting for now in the Senate so that the web remains open and democratic."

What?  One of her highest priorities is to make us the world leader in households that have broadband access?  Are you kidding me?  If I were running for president, I would probably want to lead the world in intelligence or education or something that is important.  I don't think that America will elect Hillary because she wants the U.S. to become web savvy.

Anyway, I went to the comments to see if they were biased toward Hillary.  They totally were.  Most people were saying how they want her to succeed and that she is a born leader, but not the first commenter:

"So I got in a discussion yesterday with a few of my girlfriends, and they were really upset by the way Hillary was using her first name and not her last name. They thought it was to girly and unprofessional. I said it didn't bother me, but how do you respond to this? When people voice their feelings ('I think its not professional', you can't say 'you're wrong it is professional'.  You can't tell people what they think is wrong.

Any ideas?"

Again, what?  Seriously, you finally get a forum to talk to a front runner in the Presidential race and you tell her about how your girlfriends think that its "girly" that she's using her first name?  Are you effin' kidding me?

Wow.  I don't even want to check out the Obama web chats now.  I think that I'd die from laughter.

Until then...

Hillary came out of the box early an offensive geared to never let her primary opponents catch up. It backfired when she sat on the fence yet to be decided.
Why do people indulge in dated epithets such as socialist?
She has a better chance for restoring her marriage than ever being President.
The net is the key to winning in 2008. The traditional media languishes in disgrace. The reporters must scan the blogosphere to obtain unspun information.
The TV and cable run a series of talk show farces. Modern epithets are faggot lesbian pedophile Democrat and Republican.
On TV the slurs come in pairs like pedophile Republican. Nobody listens to retractions.
The denunciation of Coulter's faggot Edwards, for example, only reinforces her claim.

Hillary has a socialist leaning record in her policies ..it was only until she decided that she was going to run for president a few year back that she became "middle of the road"...hillary IS calculating. that is why both sides call her campaign the machine..

"Net Neutrality is something that I am also fighting for now in the Senate so that the web remains open and democratic" That is a truly terrifying statement.

There is no way I would ever consider voting for Hillary Clinton.
